Shakespeare Commonplace Book

I submitted this assignment in Dr. Erin Kelly's English 441 Shakespeare class. This compilation of Shakespeare passages and analyses was designed to sharpen a student's ability to read and write and think critically about Shakespeare's plays.

In this assignment, I analyzed two of Shakespeare's plays and discussed the language of the play, the world of each play, and the historical context of Shakespeare's London. This assignment analyzes a variety of literary elements such as parallelism, the iambic pentameter form of Shakespeare's writing, the rhetorical effects of his literary devices, and the elements of the written and oral effects of his writing. At the end of this assignment I wrote a reflection that engaged my thinking as a reader. The reflection also demonstrates how Shakespeare's writing can inspire social growth in the United States.
