Shakespeare Staging Reflection

This​ assignment was given in Dr. Erin Kelly's English 441 Shakespeare class. In the paper, I reflected on the acting, staging, and preparation for performing a scene from Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice in front of the class.

In February 2019, I helped stage a dramatic performance of Act 3, Scene 1 of The Merchant of Venice with four other classmates. As a collective, we memorized lines, created costumes, staged a scene, and hosted a post-performance discussion session with the class. Our production techniques and textual interpretations are written more specifically in the document below.
